Here we are in the third month of the year in the full swing of things. Whether you have stuck to your New Year’s resolution or not the year is moving. Every year you set goals for yourself, to lose weight, be a better woman, or just be a better you.
Some things you prevail in, and others, ehhhh, not so much. All the shoulda, coulda, wouldas, haunt you because you feel like those are things that you should have accomplished. There are opportunities you feel as if you would have done it this way or that way, it could have turned out better for you.
Unknowingly, the things you regret, such as relationships, career choices, and life choices soon turn into guilt. Regrets are negative thoughts, emotions, and words that slowly eat at you, to keep you in the mindset of the past. Regrets keep your mind tangled up and confused often blinding you to the blessings that are right in front of you.
Move past the regret. It did not turn out the way you wanted it to. So what! The Earth is still revolving and you are still breathing. You think you failed! No you didn’t!
Stop blaming yourself. All things happen for a reason.
Shake it off! Forgive yourself. Everything has a divine time and a divine appointment. By holding on to regrets, you are wasting time. Imagine how unforgiveness towards yourself hinders you. Shake it off and move on. You are on the right track. There are no regrets, no mistakes, only moments in time for learning lessons to help us improve on our life’s journey.
